Day 10: Yarn octopus or octopi? I am not sure, but all I know is that I have been teaching these for a few years now and they’re always a hit. Plus they take around 2-3 hours so it is a great project to do over time or in one long sitting.
STEP 1: WRAP YARN AROUND A LARGE PIECE OF CARDBOARD AROUND 100 TIMES
STEP 2: CAREFULLY REMOVE FROM CARDBOARD
STEP 3: TIE A KNOT
STEP 4: CUT OPPOSITE END OF KNOT
STEP 5: PUT TENNIS BALL BETWEEN THE YARN NEAR THE KNOT
STEP 6: TIE A RUBBERBAND
STEP 7: DIVIDE YARN INTO 8 EQUAL SECTIONS. EITHER USE A RUBBER BAND OR A CLOTHESPIN TO SEPARATE
STEP 8: ONE AT A TIME, REMOVE CLOTHESPIN AND BRAID
STEP 9: USE GLUE AND ADD DECORATION AND EMBELLISHMENT.
